These delicate French pastries were a staple in my house growing up. If i didnt have one for breakfast I was sure to get one from my grandmother when she picked up me from school in Paris. It is lightly sweetened and goes wonderful with tea, coffee, yogurt and berries or just by itself. Its a small buttery light and fluffy cake bite perfect to have on hand in a pretty jar by the coffee machine.
One of my baking mixes will make 24 full size vanilla bean madeleines. Our mix includes all the dry ingredients for you including some delicious vanilla, sugar, and flour.
Just add a few fresh ingredients like eggs and butter and you are ready to bake! You can also bake these in batches ( 12 madeleines per batch)
